I've been playing a lot of different games lately, I'm finding the variety is providing a certain amount of therapy since giving up MMOs.

I knocked out DX:HR a couple weeks ago, and found I really tore through it, took maybe a week total. Kind of impressed with myself on that one, since the last game I really completed was Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood about three months ago.

Right now I'm on Twilight Princess since I've owned it for the Wii for about a year but never spent more than an hour on it (GOD THE FIRST THREE ARE BORING).

I've been playing a bit of Suikoden V as well, I finished it once and got all 108, but really wanted to give NewGame+ a go, and Evelyn's been watching and is surprisingly interested.

Trying to decide if I want to replay Arkham Asylum or Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.

Both! Especially since new games in both series are out really soon. I need to get AA myself, but I love me some ACB. AC2 is better though. Play that if you haven't. :P

Going to start Uncharted 2, and play AC1 for the first time after I beat that.

Kirby Mass Attack.
Also playing more CT, wrapping up sidequests and about to hit the Black Omen.  Bah.  I remember Lavos being a pain in the ass -- not looking forward to it (then again, this game has been alternatively easier than I remembered too).

Lavos isn't really that bad. It's the string of like 9 bosses you fight that's annoying, since none of the are particularly hard or interesting.

Dice iirc you just have to kill the bits in the last lavos battle or something.

You have to kill all 3 parts before they revive each other.
The main part can revive both bits and the bits can revive the main part.
They have HPs of about 2000, 10 000 and 20 000.
To be able to do damage to the main part, you need to destroy one bit.

See...  it's super easy ;) that or doing this fight more than 50 times just makes it so.

My son made it to this fight, lost a million times, then gave up. Poor kid. I really didn't remember it being all that hard. I mainly recalled the cool music and the neat flying background.

I bought COD Blops, it's fun enough as single player though I haven't finished W@W on Veteran mode yet. Vesperia, really into this now and can kind of understand why ps3 only owners are a little upset. Great stuff from Bandai, I hope Graces on the wii plays as well as this.

Kirby Mass Attack.

Adorable game, it's so cute to see 10 Kirby's running over each other and sort of... chatting [?] (kirby squeals, but it's not annoying, but darling, and still quiet).  The medallions are fun to get and open up some cool mini-games, and really make you explore the level.

Seeing as I beat this yesterday, let me give you some tips. The pod on the left has 2k HP. Crono, if you're using him, should be using Frenzy or Luminare. The body has 10k HP, but dishes out serious attacks. The one on the right is the toughest, with 30k HP. One you kill the pod on the left, focus on the body.  Use attacks that hit multiple enemies, if possible. It should take about five minutes overall.

Black Ops has an interesting campaign if you don't see the twist coming. I quit my Veteran run where you go downhill in Vietnam because it was just too fucking difficult. If you can do World at War on Veteran you can probably do any SP mode in Call of Duty though.

For that Lavos battle, on top of what everyone else has already said, I mainly recall spamming Luminaire forever and ever. With that one earring that made it cost 1/4 the MP to use. I don't recall it being hard, just long.

Ultima 8:

- Got the Heart of the Earth.
- Went to the other dungeon.
- Did some puzzle involving turning on disappearing floors.
- Used said floors to throw a golem into a pit.
- Did a puzzle involving throwing mushrooms at invisible laser walls.
- Still no idea what that giant F-marked platform was about.
- Found a key.
- Died on exploding muhrooms; will continue tomorrow.

Also think I might've encountered my first set of platforms that used to be moving platforms prior to the patch.

I really want to try Ultima 9 now.
