Ys 6 - Can't get past the purple laser shooting things in the Ruins of... A... something. Not really liking how you can be in their range of activation even when they're not on screen. Also I have no idea how far I need to jump out of the way to avoid getting hit by them since apparently ANY of the particle effects from the beam will count as a hit.

Jak and Daxter - Seems fun. Unfortunately the disc is scratched apparently and it skips a lot during cutscenes and I can't take it back because I bought it out of town. Yey.

---edit---

Washed the disc and all the scratches came out and now the disc plays fine. WTF.

---edit2---

Played the first level of Maken X. First observation -- this game is pretty as hell. Second observation -- this feels almost like it could be a prequel to the DDS games for some reason. I know it's not officially part of the SMT series but damn if it doesn't feel like it.

Gonna start up Journey for the first time.  See if I can finish it in one playthrough.

Having fun with Journey and being a masochist with the higher difficulty in Vanquish (God Hard mode) along with trying to do Challenge 4, is pretty hard, but not really. Hard to explain.

Makken X is excellent, forgot about this gem.

Enjoying Deus ex hr atm, this is a quality game for sure. Only finished the 1st mission after the opening run, I think i'll chose stealth from now on.

Played Journey for a little over an hour or so. What a beautiful game! Not just visually, but just the feeling you get. Very similar to Flower in that aspect. I even met up with another player, which was fun. I was kinda sad when they suddenly dissolved before my eyes. Must have called it quits for the night. I absolutely would have loved to keep on going and play through the whole thing in one go, but a 5:30 alarm prevents that. Great game so far. Can't wait to play more.

I played Final Fantasy 6 for about 20 hours, but my save file was deleted so I'm starting over. I plan to never use Relm or Gau when I get the chance not to.

Devil Survivor Overclocked was fun until the first escort mission. I haven't been able to bring myself to beat it again.

I'm slowly chipping away at The Binding of Isaac. I'm still learning new things about the game every playthrough.

My friends and I have been playing The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords when my friends are around. We have two rules. 1) Kill each other at all costs. 2) Purple Link must always wear the Pegasus Boots if it's in that stage.

Gau is actually one of the most overpowered characters in FFVI.

- Anyway, got like, 13 orb thangs in Jackin' Daxflame.

- No idea what to do in Ys VI. All the areas I can get to I am way underdeveloped for, and I can't find any plot points to trigger.

---edit---

Doing the Ruins of Amnesia or w/e cause I figured out how to get past the lasers (spoilers: kill them).

---end edit---

- Yet to start Chulip.

- Sort of used to the DC controls in Virtual On. I am still bad at the game though. Also the manual is... not helpful. Anyway, gonna probably lay of playing the DC till I get some lubricant for the GDROM's laser assembly and motor?

- Morrowind - Stole a thing for the first Hlaalu quest. Not really sure what I was doing with this the last time I played it. It's been a long year so far.

Limbo is so damn tricky and is also a surpringly long game.

The challenge 4 in Vanquish is fucking insane, I simply cannot finish it. I mean look at this. By Round 4 I'm barely with any grenades and ammunition... fuck.

His stats are unbelievable, but I can't get Rage to work well for me. I prefer Umaro if I have to have a Berserker-type character on my team.

I've heard stuff about Relm actually being good... I just never cared to use sketch.

Sketch glitch is too risky to use Relm.

Finished ME3... loved the hell out of it. Just about every mission was memorable, the side stuff was fun, excellent music, great voice acting, terrific scope, and  an amazing conclusion.

It's a shame internet dork rage is overshadowing what an amazing accomplishment this game is. I ate every bit of this game up.

Games completed this year so far:
rage
ico
alan wake
da2
resident evil 5
ME3

It also depends on which version of the game you're using.

SuperNES/Wii VC = Wind God Gau (you can equip the Merit Award and Genji Glove relics plus dual Tempests and Catscratch for 16 hit shenanigans).

The other versions still allow you to make Gau invincible if you know which rages to use but only the GBA version actually wants you to use them given Squeenix's tendency to cram ridiculous/awful extra game content into the GBA ports of Squaresoft games (also they finally got around to fixing the Evade glitch which means no more Dodge Tanks). Despite this, Gau can easily break the game during both halves if you figure out which rages are worth using (the Aspik rage alone can utterly wreck the first half alone thanks to its Giga Volt ability which hits like a Bolt2/3 spell, I forget which, and can be picked up upon returning to the veldt).

Relm breaks the game in the other way due to all the bugs and glitches that can be invoked with sketch (sketching anything under the invisible status has the potential of obliterating all your save datas). You can find ways to abuse this but generally speaking they're not worth it given the ease of the game. What Relm IS good for is to have a fabulous starting Magic stat and the ability to wear some of the game's better equips (plus you can get her and her grandfather's best armor almost immediately after gaining access to the Falcon).

Unfortunately Umaro's the worst character in the game due to limited equipment options (only Relics) and complete inability to equip Magicite (no permanent stat boosts whatsoever).
