I don't really care for this kind of game, but I kind of WANT it to succeed just to give Metacritic the middle finger. Maybe Walmart saw troubling signs, or just wanted a really compelling deal ona new game, but if this is all in response to the MetaCritic score then I'd delight in it taking a hit.

The servers for Homefront are working now. The online game is actually pretty good, despite the ugly visuals. Pretty much everyone has dropped the price already to 42 bucks. I hope Amazon refunds the difference since it dropped in price the day after release.

No one told me that this game's first location was a fucking White Castle, complete with an actual menu.
I could not find anyone who would serve me sliders, however.

The fictional White Castle crawling with North Korean troops is just as safe as some of the ones I've been to in Chicago at 3am

I heard it was highly anticipated by fans of this genre.
I weep for our future.

But aren't FPS fans who are sick of Call of Duty anticipating most of these games?
I remember how well Medal of Honor turned out. Oh, wait.

The story is interesting for as far as I got into the game. The sound is what drove me away...I couldn't stand the horrible static and over the top "BROOOM" sounds from the helicopters. I'd like it to sound realistic, not as if my speakers are going to blow from the reverb...
