Need opinion, important Q for a girl.

This is a very important question for a woman to ask... so I appreciate input.  Actually, male and female input would be better (shame females are a minority).

...do I keep long hair or go short???!
I have never been so torn over hair styles.

LONG: it looks good, it's the standard feminine look, I suit it and guys like it!

SHORT: easier to maintain, looks good too, works for summer when I wanna work out (easier to shower sweat off), grows back (eventually)

Is this a vital question?  FYEAH!!  A girl's hair is a part of her LIFE!!!

As a man, I love girls with long hair.
But I can see why you'd love short hair. I keep mine near buzz-cut level all the time because it's easy to maintain and I don't have much dandruff that way =/

I won't be helpful either.  I love guys with a bit of hair to toss around for some reason.  I think kinda like how I see long-blond hair being the "typical way to get beautiful", I see buzzcuts as the easy way to look clean.  Haha, but yeah, I see what you mean with easy management and dandruff (eugh, I get it too; nothing like regular head & shoulder infused with whatever fruity shampoo to take off the edge of "man hair" smell).

It depends on the style if you go with short. There are some short hair styles that look really great. If I was simply picking between short and long though, then I'd say long. But, again, male input. :P I don't have to deal with maintaining long hair.

It's hard to tell ahead of time but short hair does look great on some women. How short are you thinking? Jaw-line short?

Ya, short is too generic a description, are we saying neck-length? Pixie cut? Really I say just go for it, I'm a guy but I had long hair for about 10 years and barely remember having short hair and had it cut, and it's good for a change. As you said it grows back and after getting it cut short, trust me, it grows back pretty fast. I've had more haircuts in the past 18 months then I did in the 10 years before it >_<

Haha - thank you for the input this far!!!  By short I do about half way down the neck (I get it layered after though).  I don't think I can do short, short, short. o_o  Some chicks can.

Well, lemme tell you a little story.  My wife's hair, when braided, goes down past her waist.  Been that way since way before I met her.  She always said that if a guy she dated said "oh, you can't cut your hair," she knew not to date him any more.  Guess what I said when she told me "I'm thinking about cutting my hair."  (Hint: that whole married thing.)

So the moral of the story is this: do what you're gonna like and what you think is going to look best on you.  Don't worry about whether guys will like it or not. :)

I should say, in case it wasn't clear - although I told her she could cut it however she liked it best, she still has that long hair.  One day, she'll get sick of it, cut it, and donate it to Locks of Love, and I'll still love her just the same.

On topic - I love girls with long hair.  Some girls can pull off short(er) hair, some cannot.  My vote is long hair.

i think i heard on tv once that guys that like to take a submissive role in a relationship like girls with short hair. so if you dont currently have a boyfriend you might want to think of the psychology of it.
