Men have to go every 3 - 4 weeks to keep things in order (if they have a typical short hair style).

Women can get away w/ going once every 2 months or so (if they have a typical longer hairstyle).

Depends on your face really, different styles work for different people, but Id say that if you think you can pull off short hair then go for short. If not, keep it long. I suppose if you're really on the fence you could try to edit a picture of yourself to get a rough idea of what it might look like.

I tried that.... but for going blond.  I came to realize: it's a colour I should not be allowed near.
