Devil Survivor 2

I'm surprised no one else here made a topic about it yet.

And it'll be on DS.
Hmm.

Devil Survivor 2 is 95% complete and set to release in Japan sometime this summer.
P2IS was announced while it was almost done too, iirc.

*points at the SMT topic.*

I saw that already, but I figured it'd be okay since we've had some topics about this series outside of that one.

I think it's OK, to be honest I don't know why we discuss every SMT game in the same thread and don't do that for any other franchise.

I'm probably going to avoid too much news about this game. I know i'll like it, so It's best not to get anything spoiled. I like nice surprises.

The fella on the left looks a lot like Ryoji from P3... but I'm gonna chalk that up to the artist (whom I hate).

Cool beans, hope to see more about this, yada yada yada.

(whom I hate).

Why? :<

Star... you remembered! :D

My main gripe is the artist looks unprefessional, and they struggled to pull of what little style they did.  Hell, there's more unsigned talent on DeviantArt, but this turdcake got the job.
Even if you DO like the art, you have to admit, you have easily, easily, seen better.

I do remember especially reading that "She's bloody crosseyed, and her chin could probably stab someone." thing although nearly all anime-styled character designs have problems like you mentioned in that post.
They need to look crazy so we geeks can cosplay them and get weird looks in public.

I've always thought that the art style of Devil Survivor was a copy of the one from The World Ends With You, but more crappy. Just look at the box art they are quite similar in what they are trying to convey and both games are in concept the same product.

Will play this if it comes to the US, loved the original and see no reason to not love the sequel.  Until we get some real info about the game I see nothing else to say about this.

Now I'm hyped!
Devil Survivor has been one of my favorites these past years. I just hope that for some weird reason Atlus doesn't localize it for the 3DS as I have no idea when I'll be able to get one.
They are probably releasing it for the DS since the userbase will be bigger and the 3DS can also play DS games so everyone should be happy.
