While we're on maternal stuff...as far as parents go, I think my mom is amazing. She's possesses some (very, very) annoying faults but I know what she has been through and there are very few people I respect as much as I respect my mother. She is a strong and brave woman; it pains me when my siblings are harsh to her because she deserves so much more than that.
I'm a really, really cheerful person most of the time and being grumpy around people takes a toll on me. I've tried. I feel too conscious of how my mood effects others.
There is a mannequin in my sister and brothers' flat; the kind dress-makers use. It fucking terrifies me every time I get up to get a drink or visit the lavatory. Never fails. We've started to use it as a coat and hat hanger-- this has only amplified its creepiness. I'm thinking that maybe we should name it. :(

I can be pretty shy, especially around groups larger than 4-5.
I've been lurking around RPGFan since 2001. (See above ^)
I've completed only 4 RPGs (8 if you count Zelda). I have a ginormous backlog. Recently I've made an effort in focusing on one thing at a time.
I've grown up in the Church, but don't consider myself a saved believer until October 09. I've found it's the one thing that gives me a great sense of security and joy.
I'm a man who enjoys his bacon. And soft cookies.
I've been told I do and say very strange things in my sleep. Just went camping over the weekend, and one guy told me I slammed into him in the middle of the night, started praying, rolled back over and hummed the Star Wars theme. I don't remember any of this, but multiple people heard it going on.

I'm so glad I swallowed my coffee before reading that sentence.

This seems like an introduce yourself thread for a community that more or less already knows each other, which is fine. Sometimes I greet old friends as if we've never met.
I read and write a lot. Mostly poetry. And comic books (though I don't write these). The Brooklyn Public Library is my favorite place in NYC, next to this great brunch place that serves you complimentary Screwdrivers/Bloody Mary's with your meal. Conveniently, this is on the way to the library.
I stopped playing video games for a few years and disappeared from this message board. I don't think I was missed. Now I'm back, though I don't really play too many games, as I only have a DS and I like it that way.

Hah, I could see how that would sound suspicious. Since I was unconscious in a mummy sleeping bag, I can only guess it was a merfolk tail bash.

Why are so many of you gamers Metalheads?!?!
Go... BLack Eyed P..... I can't even go that far...
EDIT: just watched that.... god I miss 90's music...
When I first started "liking" music (you know there's that period when you're a kid and kinda indifferent to it?),
this was the song that did it for me

I can't blame MTV for not showing videos anymore... because the 90s was filled w/ that crap.
Panning around, zooming in randomly, bad filter effects.
Crappy "art" like that rotating joystick.
I'm not a metalhead anymore. Mainly because I like/hate everything.

i think metal sucks. never was a fan of the music in guilty gear. give me some synthisized techno anyday.
also the rock n roll hall of fame is pretty much in my back yard and ive never been there.
