That's exactly why I added "In Japan", far as I can tell there's pretty much nothing worthwhile that isn't a PC port, international release, visual novel, or doujin game (the last of which Recettear is), even Falcom's left the scene due to crappy distribution. In NA and Europe the market is either lively ENOUGH or at least usually receives competent PC ports reliably. Though, even the Witcher 2 seems designed with a controller in mind despite being a PC exclusive at launch.

Wait a second...Kenji Inafune is involved in promoting the sequel? So the grandfather of Megaman cuts involvement with the project he's been wanting to do for over a decade and is now involved in Neptune mk-II? What...the...*foghorn*?
Inafune's getting paid to promote it, so I wouldn't read too much into his involvement.
As the CEO of an independent startup (with none of the security he enjoyed at Capcom), it pays to take even the small jobs. It's also a good way of expanding your connections around the industry.
At least we can expect some bitter shots at Capcom out of this.

but I think the absence of anything related to PCs in this storyline (and console choice) might be a reference to how the PC Gaming industry tends to get ignored/forgotten
in Japan
That's not true. At least not when it comes to H-Games.
But yes, there isn't a PC game worth giving a shit about these days unless it's related to the Nasu-verse or Touhou.

I arguably covered those when mentioning visual novels; certainly I haven't heard of H-games worth bothering with that weren't visual novels in the first place (and had cleaner console adaptions or
fan translations
).

Incidentally, I beat Hyperdimension Neptunia last night. I actually had a lot of fun with it, especially with the various events and cutscenes. Localization was also top-notch, I must say.

I meant in the eyes of H-Game fans. Should've been clearer on that.

I don't know if that means Neptune mk-II is just that good in concept or if MML3 is already that bad.
Bumping this for this ==>

That's right, he's a motherfucking summon.
What the Christ!?!
As for why he's in this rather than working on MML3, look no further than this ==>

Uh, Inafune left Capcom. He's not going to be working on MML3 regardless.

Next time, try reading the parts I quoted before quoting me.

What the hell? I did read it. Then I read it again. The message I got from your post was that he was doing this since they were waiting for the go-ahead on MML3, which is obviously silly. Perhaps you intended to say something else but it certainly isn't clear.

The ebay-ers selling it for $100 more must be sad to lose their auction.
$30 for a crappy game, huh?? Hmmm.... I need some shoes... Shoes it is.

Hardly. It's C- at worst, B- material at best. Considering some of the true stinkers than have come from both the J and W RPG camps this generation Neptunia is hardly worth of the title "crappy". "Mediocre" at best "sub-par" at worst.

I'll never understand the reasoning for wanting and sitting through (a many-houred RPG no less) a "sub-par" game.
My games have GOTTA rank higher... =/
I don't want the game because the cutscenes looked absolutely inane and stupid and
recycled
