Wait, what?

Lord of the Rings Online was developed by Turbine and published by WBIE.  EA has nothing to do with it.

EA's MMOs are Ultima Online, Dark Age of Camelot, and Warhammer Online.

I was sure EA had the LotR license. Should have checked more carefully before posting I suppose. But yeah, I just double checked, its Turbine and Codemasters not EA.

I'm actually playing this game right now too.  When I found out it was made by Turbine, and is a WoW clone, my expectations got all high.  Turbine is really good at this stuff, so I wanted to see how they could take the golden standard and make it their own.

Then I heard an NPC use the word "alas" in a weird way, and had a huge nerd debate over why it may have been technically correct, but bad form to do so.

I'm still trying it out.  But yeah, Turbine is good at making little scenarios, like the Champion intro... sweet little instanced scenarios.

I always end up playing LOTRO this time of year.  I guess it's because there isn't usually much else going gaming wise in late spring/early summer.

If any of you losers want to join up and kill a few days of your life on some F2P MMO bullshit, be sure to come to Brandywine. :P
