AC Adapter for a PSone

Hey folks, just got my hands on a PSOne but lacking cables. Now, I have a spare 9V adapter that fits the bill, BUT the actual adapter for the PSone is a 7.5V. Is it okay to plug in a 9V for the PSOne or will that fry it?

Needs more info. What's the amperage of the adapter and the of the psone's adapter? If your 9v adapter matches the amps of the PS1 specific one, then it should work, 9v versus 7.5 is close enough that it shouldn't be a problem. Also, is your adapter AC or DC?

I thought the PS1 had an internal power supply? My old one just has a power cord.

The PlayStation does, but the PSone doesn't.
