Easy, a lot of people don't know about the Cerberus code.

EDIT: I'll attempt to explain some more.

Dragon Age 2 pre-launch = super game
Dragon Age 2 pre-launch big site reviews = super game
PRE-ORDERS!
Dragon Age 2 demo = wait wha?
Demo feedback = Oh, we removed things for the demo, though the game rocks! Also, Free DLC people!
ORDERS!
Dragon Age 2 reviews = OK game
Dragon Age 2 user reviews = terrible game
People selling back their DA2
PROMOTIONS!

Marketing at its best.

Wow, look at this douche tool go.  Managed to turn free copies of a videogame with the purchase of another videogame into some who-gives-a-shit anti-marketing rant.  And I thought I was the resident board asshole.

I ask myself if I really need a third copy of Mass Effect 2 for a third gaming platform.

Apparently the answer is fuck yes.

I think its a pretty cool thing.. I happened to actually like Dragon Age 2 for what its worth, I didnt see too much of a difference from it and DAO.  Anyway, I think its cool that I will have a copy of ME2 now on my PC along with the PS3.

John makes strong counterarguments, and you either misinterpret him in a way I just don't get or you bleat out "but but MARKETING" as if that somehow negates any positive value it has. So, yeah, that was a jab.

Anyways! Looks like the deal's including the Cerberus DLC now, so it's easier to recommend now.

Here's the thing, did I ever say it was bad? Marketing is marketing. Are they going to sell more? yes. Is this nice for players? yes.
I acknowledge his points, that's why I tried explaining in a chronological manner so to make things a bit clearer.
I was even nice enough to not mention how this is also timed with the latest ME2 DLC.

To be fair DA2 is pretty shitty.

To be fair I completely disagree.  (though I will admit some of the bugs are horrid, though I did not experience many of them myself)

Here's the thing, did I ever say it was bad?

Technically? No, you didn't. But there's that implication in your posts and a cynical tone to them that hasn't really been refuted until explicitly called on it. Twice at that.

Sorry I explain myself very poorly then, I'm aware of that actually.
EA has a very strong marketing team. From the numbers I saw last week, they are very quickly equalling the sales (in $$$) of DA:O with DA2 (mostly because of xbox and DLC). I think we can all agree that DA2 is an inferior product to DA:O, yet they are getting more money out of it. This is what I mean by EA can sell anything. This, in itself, is scary because right now, the consequences of cutting corners with DA2 are that they actually made more money while spending less.

Now, am I against people getting good deals? no.
Am I against using great marketing to publish sub-par games and make tons of money? yes
