Second Japanese Earthquake
« on: April 07, 2011, 01:06:22 PM »
News just came in over the wire. Here's a CNN link:
http://www.cnn.com/2011/WORLD/asiapcf/04/07/japan.quake/index.html?hpt=T1&iref=BN1

Thankfully it seems the damage report at this point is pretty minimal, and even more thankfully, it looks like the Nuclear plant at Fukushima is reporting that there haven't been any noticable changes due to the quake. Still, it's very worrisome, and it's gotta be hell on the people there.

They have had several aftershocks for the past 2 weeks. One of my friends told me that he is woken up a dozen times every morning because of the M4-5 aftershocks.

Another interesting angle is the huge float of debris making it's way across the Pacific Ocean. Boats coming across houses and such

The same size as one of the aftershocks from the first quake! o.o

At least it wasn't as disastrous as the first one, too.
