Number Two's eyes narrowed and became what are known in the Shouting and Killing People trade as cold slits, the idea presumable being to give your opponent the impression that you have lost your glasses or are having difficulty keeping awake. Why this is frightening is an, as yet, unresolved problem.

They're probably just gonna make a 3DS version of Lunar 1 instead. -_-

Again, something that was on the front page, like, two days ago.

I'll wait to actually see it in action.

Yeah, this.  RPGs are long and generally don't like save points.  iPhone's suck dick for battery life as is.

It only felt like yesterday when I was playing Snake on my father's classy cellphone over ten years ago.

You know, I still have yet to play a Lunar game. Maybe when I finally get a new phone, I'll try it out there...

I think each Lunar let you save wherever, so worrying about battery life shouldn't be a big issue unless you're caught in long-ish cutscenes or battles. And of all the genres where you move around a character RPGs are probably one of the only ones that CAN work on a phone or touch screen. Your reflexes don't matter except maybe to avoid enemies, which isn't going to be an issue if this is the Sega CD version and I recall they were kind of a pain to avoid anyway in the 32-bit version. You want games that are more troublesome to properly convert to phones, look at platformers or FPSes, though even those have been done respectably enough (well, not for me) on the iPhone.

By the way, I'd generally prefer not playing RPGs on a phone or iPod touch anyway. Especially not a phone; I'm not worried about saving in time, I'd be worried about having enough battery life for phone calls.

Save states for the win.

On that topic, i'd love to play an RPG on my phone if it was properly designed. I hate lugging around my phone + a DS or PSP. I already have chargers everywhere I go.

hell my phone probably has better battery life than a 3ds does.
