You're just being cryptic again. It's like soap opera sex. Lots of boring dialogue and when they finally do go to bed, everything's dark and covered by blankets.

Atlas Sound is awesome. I'd see Woods over Beirut but I've never seen either of them live before and I like Woods a lot more than Beirut.

Portugal. The Man on the 28th :)
Also, Algernon Cadwallader in June!!

I haven't seen anything really recently BUT there are two good shows coming up in my area in the summer.  The Dropkick Murphy's are playing in Moncton and it's just been announced that Metallica is heading to Halifax in July.  I've already seen them but I'd love to go again. Getting time off for both shows may be tricky.

It mostly comes down to price for me. I can go see Woods and Atlas Sound for the price of seeing Beirut. I was heavy into them for like 3 months, but Woods and Atlas sound are closer to what I've been digging lately.

I just got back from seeing Alestorm at their only New Zealand show. I thought they'd just be a fun band to see live, but they were actually pretty awesome! Got to chat with the guitarist, and hug the vocalist. Can't wait for the next gig, whatever that may end up being.

I went to see Arctic Monkey's with a friend recently. I don't listen to them, but they put on a fantastic show.

In the recent past I've seen Boris, Mono and Isis. In the future I'm going to see Dengue Fever, Torche, Earth and Marina & The Diamonds.

I saw Woods for my birthday. They played in a church, which was a little bizarre, but they are really an incredible live band easily worth the $10-15.

Nice, man. Boris and Earth are two of my absolute favorite bands, I would love to see either of them. Mono is really awesome too, I think Isis is really overrated though.

btw Algernon Cadwallader puts on the best live show I've ever seen bar none. SHORT SET OF SO MUCH PURE FUN.

I am sad to say that I have not gone to any concerts in a while... The last few were Gwar, Black Label Society, Slayer, Testament and Megadeth. Being a student makes me too poor to go out.

I haven't been to a big or semi-big concert since Hostile City DeathFest 2010 last summer.  I only went for one day of the 3 day event but those 12 hours of local, national, and international death metal ruled my world.  Headliner was Hate Eternal, but I fell in love with (and befriended) Strychnia and Abnormality.

Otherwise, I mostly just go to local shows.  I'm a huge fan of basement shows.  One of the most recent shows my band Kryovax played was a basement show at an abandoned warehouse in Philly.  That was one of my favorite shows I played.  Bucket Flush headlined.  It's crazy to think that my wet behind the ears band has played with major Philly punk bands like Combat Crisis, Population Zero, Common Enemy, and Bucket Flush.
