Yeah, looked at the IGN review quickly, and they're too different games. Developed by Dimps like the Rush games and Sonic Colors, and apparently lifting classic levels entirely, almost making it a greatest hits of Sonic rather than a tribute. Plus I'm seeing Sonic using modern moves in a classic, side scrolling stage, which you DEFINITELY can't do in Generations.

Look at it this way though: Now you have two games rather than just one! Though I'd appreciate Sega not doing this misleading labeling bullshit and just make a different game entirely. Or give it a subtitle to clarify it's not the same, whichever.

One big issue with 3D Sonic.  Why is it so freaking-hard to run straight????  I don't have the original jumping-issue posted earlier here, but I think the controls could have been way tighter.

I like the game, but it's a trader still.

I love how clean and nice everything is. x)

@Eusis: Well, if Dimps made it that means is at least decent.

Actually, from what I've seen, avoid the 3DS version. Classic era levels have their designs ripped from the original Genesis layouts, and the rest of the levels are very poorly designed. Boss battles are good, though, but the team really phoned it in on that one.

As for the console release, it's great. I've played it to the point that I'm sick of it. XD
