I don't doubt it.  It has mass appeal.  Hardcore gamers can appriciate it (but they bitch the loudest of them all) and so can casual fans.

I know people who don't play video games, but play WoW.  IMO, I don't think many other MMO's can say that.  It's got it's share of problems, but the appeal seems to be wide.

It's not a real MMO. It's a monster.

I say that first bit jokingly and seriously at the same time.

I'm really surprised Lineage has such a user base....it's a piece of shit.

Stupid Korea.

Edit: I checked out Runescape's website.

That looks like a bigger piece of shit than Lineage! What the fuck people? At least Final Fantasy XI has good graphics, good ideas, and fucking moogles!

It kinda surprises me that FFXI has fallen so far down there.

Lineage, RO, and other Korean MMOs shouldn't really be placed in the chart.  The Korean billing system usually consists of charging the Net Cafes usage of the game, and let the users play free.  You can buy home versions and pay a monthly fee and all, but it gets really hard to check numbers.  Also FFXI looks like it lost a few players and thats it.  Its actually one of the more sucessful MMOs out there.

I don't think that chart took EVE's latest batch of subscribers into account, last i heard the game just went live in China and is getting fucking eaten up like mad over there. Not surprising, Chinese/Koreans are always stereotyped as the hardcore MMO players and EVE is a retardedly brutal MMO.

Two great tastes that taste great together!

Uh no. Even on Net Cafes, if you want to play you gotta have an account, meaning you gotta pay a monthly fee. The Net Cafes only provide you a computer with a game installed, not an account or characters.
