ADMIN ABUSE: With an official international announcement it'd be nice to have a topic that used proper capitalization.

It's Phantasy Star Online, what do you honestly think?

Saw it this morning.  Was unimpressed.  Even if I had been impressed, all I have to do is point to PSU PC as an indicator of what to expect with regard to game support.  Sega will abandon non-Japanese support for this game just like every other iteration of Phantasy Star.

Look to Guild Wars 2 or Star Wars: The Old Republic for the next big thing.

That looked amazing.  This is clearly the next big thing.

I would totally pick this up if it was going to consoles(where it belongs) but I doubt that will happen. Kind of odd seeing as how it BEGAN on a console. dumb.

It looks like Sega is taking stuff from a bunch of action rpgs and throwing it into this next PS iteration. Elaborate combos, stupidly large ugly great swords (moreso than phantasy star online and universe anyway), jumping (haha), and a more over-the-shoulder camera view like from Dead Space or RE (not rpgs, but relevant to the reference). I'm not impressed by the trailer, but like the other PS titles, I'll watch it for now. If they hint at a console release later, maybe I'll get into it.

Oh and now we can run...yay.

I would consider getting this. I like PSO because of how light it is in comparison to the black hole that is WoW. Hopefully they improve the experience without trying to be a clone.

Looks interesting, especially the TPS system, almost like a FPS game.  I hope they DON'T do auto-aiming.  I can imagine the TPS system opening a load of new possibilities for both PVE and PVP, but since this is PSO, I doubt there will be PVP.  But for PVE, you can put hit-boxings on mobs and bosses as a way to defeat them.   Head shot anyone?

Well, if they decide to go with auto-aiming, there's always Tera when that comes out.

I still have my character on my xbox somewhere.  It was a level 120 Humar.  I need to go play that again :(

AHAHAHAHAHA... Oh man I'm sorry that really does suck. :(

I only played on GC, never bothered to get the broadband adapter. Probably for the best really.
