whether i have any interest in this game is gonna depend on the story. not a fan of this battle perspective.

What's the point in buying an RPG if you are not enjoying the gameplay? I mean, story in a RPG is a very big deal... sometimes anyway, RPGs are more about the characters and the adventure rather than your big epic story that usually ends up being as convoluted and stupid as the one from Evangelion. Or more.

UnchainBlades ReXX differences between PSP and 3DS appear to be minor

Honestly, how the mini-map appears in the game is barely a difference if you ask me. But hey, what I do know.

So Wikipedia and GameFAQs utterly fail to provide any adequate information despite this being out next week. Can someone give me the run down about this game? All I can really find out is that it's a dungeon crawler and...that's it. So question that pop to mind...

-Custom party members or pre-set cast? (I'm guessing pre-set but nothing seems to be saying so outright.)
-Class system? If so, how many classes and tell me a bit about the system.
-Battle system; any good?
-What sets it apart from other dungeon crawlers? (I've already seen the Sphere Grid and Monster Recruitment things.)
-What's the 'hook'/unique features for this game?

Looks like a preset cast and possibly more story focused than most dungeon crawlers. Beyond that I Haven't looked into it too deeply.

Any plans on reviewing this? Don't let it fall into the unreviewed abyss like Gungnir has.

It's out now, and there's exactly 0 reviews. The metacritic falls squarely on this site!

Or, well, no one.

I'm playing it right now, but I dunno if anyone on staff is reviewing it. o.o I'll look, if it's free I guess I'll review it.

Nevermind, I think someone has their eye on it.

They sent out trailers for Ys Origin and 1&2 on Steam yesterday.

So, uh, no.

Looks like the average player is still griping over this not being Vita compatible as opposed to talking about the game itself.

Yeesh, didn't anyone save their PSPs?

It's not Vita compatible?  I can understand when that happens for older games, but you would think they would check that for new releases...

I'm not tossing my PSP anytime soon, but I pretty much just use it for imports these days.  Even when I get a Vita (haven't yet, but I still plan to) it seems pretty inconvenient to play PSN versions of import games because of the account restrictions.

Where did you hear this? That's the first I've heard of Ys 1&2 being released on Steam.
