to me its a waste of resources however......i wouldnt be surprised if nintendo is funding the localization like they did with tales of symphonia.

AND IN THAT CASE, IF IT GETS PORTED (enhanced) AGAIN, WE'RE SCREWED.

... WHAT localization? Maybe for Europe, but it was already released in the USA and the fact they're not including skits indicates they're recycling the script and VA.

^ That's also probably why we're getting Abyss 3DS this year but not Graces F.

I wonder how long for us to get Xillia. IF we get it.

Admittedly Nintendo could have an investment in marketing and having it sold here, but that's separate from localization.

Erm, did you forget about Vesperia already?
We'll never see the PS3 version since Microsoft funded the localization.

Yeah, the fact that they finished the localization five years ago is probably the reason we're getting the game in the first place. This is Namco Bandai we're talking about!

I hope this shuts up the whiney retards: "WE'RE NEEVERR SEEIING A TALES GAME AGAIn!!!  TiME TO IMPORT, ITz OVERR!!!".

I swear to god.  We got every game, sans the DS ones (whatev', we'll live) and we're getting Graces and Abyss.

We also missed the original version of Graces (no big loss it seems), the DS WAS going to be the primary platform for Tales games, and we missed all the PSP games but possibly the worst one. Combine this with the current climate and I can easily see why people were pessimistic.

Excluding the sub-titles (nakiriri and co.); we have received less than half of the main tales (serie) games.
That's not a very good ratio.

NEVER CAME TO AMERICA NOR EUROPE (13) (27 with lesser titles)
Tales of Phantasia (SNES)
Tales of Phantasia (PSX)
Tales of Phantasia (PSP)
Tales of Destiny (PS2)
Tales of Destiny: Director's Cut (PS2)
Tales of Destiny 2 (PSX)
Tales of Destiny 2 (PSP)
Tales of Symphonia (PS2)
Tales of Rebirth (PS2)
Tales of Innocence (DS)
Tales of Vesperia (PS3)
Tales of Hearts (DS)
Tales of Graces (Wii)

CAME TO AMERICA OR EUROPE (10)
Tales of Phantasia (GBA)
Tales of Destiny (PSX)
Tales of Eternia (PSX)
Tales of Eternia (PSP)
Tales of Symphonia (GC)
Tales of Legendia (PS2)
Tales of the Abyss (PS2)
Tales of the Abyss (3DS)
Tales of Vesperia (360)
Tales of Graces F (PS3)

Not even Squeenix releases bonus director's cuts here (or whatever they call them; Ultimanias and Final Mixes and all that BS).  You actually think Namco would?  And after the first run-in with a spin off title... or both run-ins (Radiant Myth, and ToS2) are we really crying about not seeing a few low-budget titles?  We've seen the majority of the mothership titles one at least one console, I think that's more than enough to be thankful for, especially considering the pretty shit situation J-things and RPGs are in nowadays unless it's it's got two "F"s smacked on the cover.

I think the fact we haven't gotten spin-offs and budget re-releases is a kinda weak argument.  The only one I'm sd they didn't, which I nabbed online in English anyhow, was the EU re-release of ToE, but hey, they got that one.

Most of those would have had decent sales and thus I can understand why people are angry / cynical.
We've known it for a long time: they only bring things that they know will sell really really well or things that people paid them to bring here.
That's a terrible attitude to have when you set foot in the world of game localization and is also why even though NISA brings terrible quality games here (horrendous VA, bugs, poor translation), I'll forever respect them more than BAMCO.

If only their games were half as good. :P

i'm not giving namco a pass on this especially if it does indeed turn out to be a bare bones port of the ps2 version that i played years ago. 3d is not an extra feature.
