Not to mention, a lot of people just flat out don't like these two games at all so there's not much of a fan favorite thing going for them.
Not true at all. Both games have a sizable fanbase.
They're Final Fantasy games so of course they're going to have a fanbase with the fanboys. However they both generally get bashed a lot more than other FF's that aren't 7, mostly because of the ridiculous art.
