the one w/ the "improved" dpad.

Have any of you fine lads or lasses used it? Is it noticeably better? I need a new handle and the silver charge 'n play combo is on sale at amazon.

thoughts? prayers?

It's great.

No, seriously, I love it. I leave the d-pad on the "new" type, but the best part for me is the new analog sticks. They don't have the four "dots", but instead have a single circular ridge. Feels great.
