Looking for a game like Dragon Force (Sega Saturn)

Yeah I saw my friend playing Chaos Wars and decided not to get it despite some of the characters in it (from growlanser and gungrave especially).  The whole idea of cross over RPGs is kinda a turn off for me.  

As others have said, there really isn't anything like Dragon Force.  Alisha:  Yggdra Union is similar in some ways but also not.  It does have a military campaign feel and the battles are similar in that you don't actually have much control once the clash/battle occurs but other than that they are very different.  Yggdra Union is extremely linear by comparison.

yes i wish they would make a soiul nomad sequel instead of just pumping out more disgaea :(

And I thought I was weird for liking Soul Nomad over Disgaea. Nice to see I'm not the only one.
