I played Dragon Force years ago and unfortunately sold the game awhile ago after I finished it from many leaders' perspectives. I am looking for a game similar to this for the PS2, PSP, PS3, or DS. I loved the expanding of your kingdom and watching your armies conquer other territories. You could move armies to all of your controlled castles. Does anyone know of a game like this?

I feel like I get that idea but maybe not.
Aedis Eclipse seems pretty similar to that description, but looks (mostly) like a normal SRPG.
Soul Calibur 3 has a special RTS mode about armies and stuff but it may be too much of a stretch since it was a fighting game with a mild rpg elements.

There's no game QUITE like Dragon Force except the sequel, which isn't as good.

It doesn't have the kingdom building, but the general strategic elements in Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders(oXbox) is very Dragon Force-esque.

You can try Aedis Eclipse for PSP, it's really the closest there's going to be.

Beware, though, because Aedis Eclipse:Dragon Force::Store Brand Vodka:Grey Goose.

There's also Spectral Force Genesis for DS, but you really should only play that if you really hate yourself.

I'm sorry but Dragon Force was truly one of a kind.I tried Aedis Eclipse which is similar but the menus are difficult to navigate through. Not to mention that when I had the game,it had a poor instruction guide.I often got lost and eventually sold the game.

I almost bought Aedis Eclipse the other day (was $4.99) but I wasn't familiar with the game. So, are you saying it is worth it or not worth it, lol? Because Store Brand Vodka can be pretty rough...

I know I'm renown as an Idea Factory hater, so take this with a grain of salt, but...

Idea Factory developed it. Bad sign.

It's fine for $4.99.  It is rough, it's not as good as Dragon Force, even though it has somewhat similar elements.  I will say that it's probably the best Idea Factory game I've ever played, but they're not the best developer in the world, so take that as you will.  But for less than the cost of a fast food combo meal?  Probably worth that.

I think COTS (that game in SC3) may be closer, in terms of expanding armies, to Dragon Force than Aedis Eclipse:

It has a surprisingly good story for something from soul calibur.

Then I saw it in action.

since when are playable characters cameos? silvernale was pretty strong in chaos wars. also what was so bad when you saw it in action? you can turn off the english voices and in battle it always uses jp voices.
