Why do people doubt it?
He'd just need to leak a new video and we would go berserk about them lying to us and everything would go to hell.
Releasing pictures of him dead would just be trolling and begging for an attack.
Besides, a lot of people would still probably think it was a fake photo, or that it looks too grisly for us to know if it was him.

I'd be pretty disgusted if they did release a picture, at any rate. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of other people feel the same way and to a greater extent, so I understand the administration's decision not to do so.

Could you show me at what point I said that the government has been completely forthright with this information?

I was specifically referencing the fact that people were skeptical whether or not he was really dead. If he's not, then what were we doing in Pakistan? You need to account for that, at which point we get into theories most likely conspiratorial in nature.
