Idk what to make of it, really. Does it mean that my future 360 update will include making phone calls now? Sounds like the guys in the article pegged it right, MS has so much money they don't know what to do with it all.

I'm pretty upset about this, personally.  I use Skype all the time...on non-MS platforms.  Under Linux, on my phone, etc.  I can't imagine that future versions are going to keep supporting all that.  That's not how MS does things.

Maybe we'll get some more anti-trust lawsuits out of this.

I'm eagerly awaiting a new PSP firmware update removing skype from the useable functions, lol.

Every time I see stuff like this, I remember the video of that guy screaming: "Developers! Developers! Developers!".

Wonder what this will mean for people that use Skype on their macs. I use it a lot on mine. I hope this doesn't change things.

Maybe I'll be able to download it and use it now. Tried 5-6 times last year and every time I opened up Skype my internet connection disconnected

Probably won't mean much to macs, iphones, etc. Microsoft has usually been pretty good about support on non windows platforms. In fact, I've heard that they tend to update Office more frequently for MacOS than Windows! In any case, it doesn't matter much for iPhone users, we've got facetime (or they do... since I don't have a 4 yet). Android probably has a similar system, and it probably won't be long before the two HAVE to become compatible.
