It's true though....everyone seems to hate it. Check out Gamerankings if you don't believe me or John's review.

Personally, I saw some screens and some media of it a while back and it just seemed......pathetic.

I'm playing it right now.

It's not the worst game I've ever played... but it's really not what I wanted it to be.  Something simple like having  L active the shield and R activate the magic would have made the controls 100 times better.  

Overall, I would call it an average dungeon crawler.
