Apparently they're making a new MMO, and Wada claims he's nearly comfotable with XIV too...what the hell are they smoking?

Based on current trends, this new MMO will release sometime in 2012, players will buy it and be pissed that it's unfinished with most of them leaving in droves to play other legitimate games, and then Square Enix will lure the remaining suckers with tales of reaching the promised land by 2015.
Spoiler alert: FFXIV will still suck by the time this launches

Well.....looks like Final Fantasy XV's been announced. It's funny 'cuz I've played all the main FF games, excluding the MMOs. Quite sad really.

Nier has all the framework for a co-op dungeon crawl. Are you just speculating wildly?

Squenix didn't develop Nier, they just published it. I doubt they'll actually have three different FF MMOs running at the same time, so FFXV is out as well. I'm guessing they'll go for something original this time.

Squenix
Something here just doesn't add up....
Also, Nier was pretty awesome, but it was mostly because of the awesome music. Gameplay is pretty generic, and even then it could have took some lessons from Capcom. I'd lean more towards an everquest revival, or maybe (god forbid) a FF tactics MMO, not gameplay wise but based in the Ivalice universe.

If they feel they can't do another ffmmo they'll do a dragon quest one. Which actually sounds pretty appealing on paper, even if I don't think they can pull it off.

My god I spent days making the perfect chocobo, between breeding several different wonderful status ones with ridiculous speed and stamina (always capped at 999, but yeah), followed by the lame hours of breeding each one to get the gold finale, I hated it so fucking much. Course, when all was done, I managed to win races by just draining my stamina and walking to the finish line. Teioh couldn't hold a candle to me.
I would never touch a DQ MMO, it would be a horrible endeavor, doomed to fail and ruin a generally well made series of games.

I'd like to have faith in this. Because all too often, MMO's look like shit, and at least Squeenix makes shit look good.
... then again, I find MMO's a crap concept anyways most of the time.
