You...all kinds of took that wrong.
The dude at AICN was simply speculating about that possibility..and commenting on the "irony" of the situation; it'd be rather humorous if a movie called Transformers was supported by a non-transforming toy line.

He never said the toy's wouldn't transform. Ever.

Yeah, I read that and only saw the /speculation/. It might be true, but more likely it'll be simplified for the toys or something.
