Keep waiting for FF Type-0 and/or Versus XIII like everybody else then. Besides, big part of the story of XIII-2 is original material and has little to do with XIII outside of the most important scenes and characters.

XIII-2 was a decent and fun experience, that alone for a SE is an achievement.

I'm down! So far, the Wii U has my attention, so a Final Fantasy on the system would be very welcome. It wouldn't surprise me either. With neither Microsoft or Sony having new consoles on the horizon, Nintendo can really make a mark sharing some multi-platform games during this extended period, then it's great for developers because the game/system will be around for years to come, and a triple A title like Final Fantasy is very likely to be gotten by late arrivals down the line. Sorta like I would probably buy Metal Gear Solid 4 if I bought a PS3 today.

I'm hearing all kinds of rumors of Wii U ports, so it wouldn't surprise me at all. Smart move too.

Toriyama hints at more Final Fantasy XIII

"Famitsu.com conducted an interview with FFXIII and XIII-2 director Motomu Toriyama at the recent Taipei Game Developers Conference. The site asked if we can expect something Final Fantasy XIII related at the upcoming Final Fantasy 25th Anniversary event. Toriyama replied, "The [FFXIII-2] Lightning download content had an ending that left a feeling mystery and hope. The day when the meaning of this will come to light is not too far off."

The Final Fantasy 25th anniversary event mentioned by Famitsu is an art gallery that will be held from August 31 through September 2 in Shibuya."

"Outside of future XIII developments, Toriyama made a non-comment about Final Fantasy X. Asked for a progress report on the HD conversion of FFX, Toriyama said, "Regarding HD conversions, there is a lot to look into, so please wait a bit more."
