I am using my old hard drive and dvd drives everything else is new. Here are the parts I am planning on buying. I am pretty much set on everything but the PSU.

Ugh... don't remind me. That box set! *dies* Either my cpu or my motherboard died on me, which is why I am doing this. It also gives me an excuse to change from AMD to Intel, which I have been wanting to do for a long time anyway.

I'd say go for a different PSU. I use a 750w Corsair PSU which is 100 dollars. It's very reliable, though a tad annoying on wire management. Additionally, don't get the 'superclocked' GPU. You're paying a bit more money for overclocking that you can easily do yourself. I've overclocked my i5 with this cooler and the temperatures don't go above the mid to high 50s on full 100% load after 19 straight hours. If you do decide to get that cooler, drop the thermal compound you're buying since the one that accompanies the CMH 212+ is good.

Seconding what Jet said about the PSU (if you want modular go for either Seasonic or Corsair HX/AX), but not necessarily the thermal paste. I recall reading the bundled in stuff wasn't all that great, and $5-15 more for a higher quality tube's a fairly small price to pay. The Hyper 212+ IS cheaper on Amazon by the way, and while I don't know how good that Noctua stuff is I know Arctic Cooling MX-4 is really good and not electrically conductive, making safer to use if you mess up than something like Arctic Silver 5.

Also I did have an eVGA card go bad on me years ago, but that may've just been a rough period (apparently some bootleg capacitors got mixed in with the real deal?) and I know MSI's pretty reliable. Probably not a big deal though.

I am going with  the superclocked because it is not much more expensive then the regular ones and you don't have to risk your warranty on a bad overclock. I am pretty sure about the cooler but i will keep that one in mind.

Nice heads up on the psu. I am going with the one linked below now. Going Modular, sure they are more expensive, but the plus of not having a ton of clustered up cables is worth the added cost to me.

Well, the Hyper 212+ cooler IS very popular, and off Amazon is cheaper. I should look up the one you picked, but that one has a very good price/performance ratio.

Hmm....I think i'll go with that cooler. It is a bit cheaper and has slightly better performance as well according to that review.

I put together the beast today.
It  took forever to get the first motherboard post to bios,
After getting that initial post the rest was easy.
I have gotten a pretty good overclock out of it so far.
I ended up getting all the parts from Amazon instead of Neweeg
