If a company offer's a return policy, you need not give them a reason for the return. As long as it's within the allotted time, just walk in, tell em your returning an item, and repurchase it. Most of the time, the person behind the counter will catch on quick enough and just do it, but if they give you crap ask to speak to a manager. Working at radioshack, I see it a lot, and honestly just gave up trying to talk people out of returns. I ask what's the problem that you're returning the item for, see if I can fix said problem, and ask if they need something else. General sales people and clerks just take it back though.
