best buy return policy slash price matching help

Ok last week I bought the PS3 online at best buy w/ in store pick up. This included a $50 gift card that they're mailing to me.

Sure as shit this week they have a deal with a $100 gift card. Now I know they have a pretty decent return policy, but I don't have any experience in getting these kinds of returns and deals.

Call customer service and explain your situation.  Best Buy is pretty good about price matches within 30 days, especially if it's their own deal.

Yep.  Worked there around the last semester of college and this is correct.

Just make sure you call the best buy website customer service because in-store customer service probably won't do it.  Depends on the store though.

If a company offer's a return policy, you need not give them a reason for the return. As long as it's within the allotted time, just walk in, tell em your returning an item, and repurchase it. Most of the time, the person behind the counter will catch on quick enough and just do it, but if they give you crap ask to speak to a manager. Working at radioshack, I see it a lot, and honestly just gave up trying to talk people out of returns. I ask what's the problem that you're returning the item for, see if I can fix said problem, and ask if they need something else. General sales people and clerks just take it back though.
