Devil May Cry HD Collection In Early 2012

Not that ANYONE should be surprised - but as a DMC diehard, confirmation is nice.
Some comparison screens:
http://www.siliconera.com/2011/10/17/devil-may-cry-hd-collection-finally-announced-coming-next-year/
tl;dr - DMC1,2,3 in HD, PS360, early 2012 in North America and Europe, trophy/achievement support, bonus content, $39.99 US. Not bad.
Edit: Added Europe in there since Capcom EU apparently announced this first.

Hm, I would like to sell my copies of the PS2 versions but before that I'll like to see Capcom putting the original DMC along with the other two games to download at your choice like with RE4 and Veronica on PSN/XBLA.
I imagine that not a lot of people buying this wants DMC2 in HD after all. :p

Likely not - but $40 is a small price to pay for two games plus an unwanted one. :P I'd give the HD version of 2 a shot if I'm bored enough.
Then again, I spent more $ than I care to admit on DMC3 alone. I don't care. It's an all-time favourite of mine.

I was going to hunt down and buy all the PS2 games. Looks like I'll just be getting this instead.

I've never played a DMC game before but I've heard good things about them so I will probably pick this up, and I can get some Trophies too!!

I loved dmc3, with no doubt one of my favorite action games together with bayonetta but I hope capcom does a better port job than they did with their recent RE4 & CV.
For RE4 the only thing that looks better than the wii, gamecube and ps2 version is the resolution. Everything else looks worse. According to some it's not even 720p.
As much as I'd like an upgraded DMC3 I'd rather they would not do it if they plan to do a half assed job.
Well, regardless of what they do it can't be worse than whatmNinjanTheory will do...

When I first got the PS2 I was excited to play games like this, but never did as I lost the gaming itch for a long time.
If this is done right I'll check it out.

I sucked when the game first came out -- but I think it might be great to give this a go again.
I know it means we don't get *new* games, but I like these HD-remakes... clearly even companies know they had a golden era. xP

Alternatively - Capcom knows DMC fans are down on the Ninja Theory reboot and want to throw us a bone. =P
DMC was the first PS2 game I ever played and beat (in five hours no less), followed by Metal Gear Solid 2. On the other hand DMC3 was the hardest normal mode I'd ever played at the time - not counting games like Dark Souls which don't have more than one mode.
I can't wait to be a trophy whore in DMC. I was always annoyed that DMC4 never got a trophy patch.

I remember the first time i played DMC3 i beat it and started a game as Virgil and accidentally erased my dante save with it. *sadface* i never did play it again after that. I want these but at the same time i dont want to support capcom. I'll be getting them used.

I don't remember which one I played and beat before (was 1 or 2) but I enjoy the style. Good price point too.
Was DMC3 really as hard as everyone said it was?

If you have played any of the moderns Ninja Gaiden games then in comparison DMC3 is much easier.

DMC1 will benefit the most from the HD upgrade, which isn't too surprising.
