Yeah, R2's great. Got some of my favorite twists in Anime.
I spent the last few weeks watching just One Piece. Got in more than 50 episodes in a row. Now I'm on the Drum Island Arc, the one where they meet Chopper. I know I've been told that series gets exponentially better by the arc, but I never realized how right that was until I actually watched it. Every major arc was way better than the last, and at the end of each one I found myself saying "This is my new favorite Arc, they aren't gonna be able to top that!" With that said, the Drum Island Arc was an all-time favorite from when I watched the 4Kids dub, and it's even better than I remember. Chopper's Backstory has the biggest punch out of the whole group, IMO, and it plays into the rest of the arc pretty well. I don't recall the Alabasta Arc, which comes right after it, being able to top it, but I guess we'll see.

Motorcycles happened. Remember kids, follow Yu-Gi-Oh's example: All you'll get from playing card games on a Motorcycle is a fractured spine. Unless you want to be limping along, half dead, desperately trying to gain back what you once had, You'll keep your card games off them motorcycles. >=(
OMG that was horrible why did I write that?!

Just started season two of Code Geass and so far the twists and turns have absolutely kept me riveted to say the least. The Little Lady and I watched Princess Mononoke night before last, I enjoyed it but thought it a tad drawn out, she loved it!
Code Geass R2 is sweet...except the pace after Episode 12 never felt right to me.
Anyway right now I'm on Tegami bachi and broken blade.Awesome shows, both are unique in many ways.

Good question, especially since the correct answer was when the show gave a dumb kid with ridiculously improbable hair the power to always win at a particular children's card game in a world where major conflicts are battled out via the same children's card game.
At the very least it was better than spinning tops at each other.

Yugioh was actually pretty funny/entertaining for like, the first couple manga when it was actually about this insane sociopath playing mind games with people rather than being about a card game saving the world.
Though Yugioh DM is pretty funny/entertaining in its own way.

FTFY. R2 was destined to be a disaster right when the executives decided that R2 had to have a clean slate to start on, and the creators of the show decided that it'd be great to do that in the easiest and most nonsensical way possible, rather than actually taking a couple minutes to think of something creative or interesting.

Finished Code Geass, off work for a few days, got a lot of free time, lol, and I agree with many, R2 is a perfect example of what "could have/should have" been. It either needed to be @10 less episodes or else maybe there should have been a R3. One the other hand I am 8 episodes into Planet ES and I absolutely freaking love it!

Because the ending wasn't fine, it was awesome.
That's what you meant, right?

I've been reading Naoki Urusawa's(Monster, 20th Century Boys) new manga Billy Bat. HOLY SHIT this is some amazing stuff(coming from someone who gave up faith in all new manga). Its like a Thomas Pynchon novel in comic form. If you liked his other stuff check it out.

Was reading a bit about Another Century's Episode R for the PS3 and one the anime series they put into the game was Genesis of Aquarion, a short series of OVAs of 2 episodes and a movie. I go to see the opening theme in YouTube and in the comment section I find this gem:
"In the ending the world starts to fall apart (literally) Apollo, Sirius, Toma and Aquarion have a huge gay orgy and save the world by using their cum as glue to stick it all back together.
Best ending ever."
I have mixed feelings in watching this show now... either way
here's the opening thing
for anyone that cares to see it.

I recall the ending being just as awful as the rest of the show- overwrought, overexecuted, and overly contrived.

You realize that this particular statement sums up somewhere over 25% of anime and manga endings with another 25% going into "Oh yeah!? Well MY mech can throw entire galaxies at you too and its powered by both hotblood AND friendship!" and 49% being either soft or hardcore porn and the remaining 1% being actually good instead of ironically good.
