this specificly caught my eye.....
Quote
For the general public, tickets for one day will run ¥1,000 in advance and ¥1,200 at the door. Advanced ticket sales will start on July 13 via a variety of ticketing centers (convenience stores, etc.).

In addition to standard tickets, CESA will sell "TGS 2011 Supporters Club" tickets. These ¥3,000 tickets will give early admission to the event on the public days. Buyers will also get a special t-shirt and pin badge.

wtf....

edit: kind acurious how many companies were at E3
also if you are the type that calls people weaboos i am baiting you!!!!!

it does seem rather cheap.  I mean, even consumer-focused events like PAX cost way more than that.  And you still have to buy your tickets months ahead of time because they sell out.  I guess TGS does have the advantage of more space...

Even as a member of the media, I bailed on E3 this year because I was going to have to buy my wife's ticket, and at $400, we didn't feel like it was worth it.  I mean, we don't even live in CA, and we could get an annual pass to Disneyland for less than that.

three things I hate more than anything in the world:

Crowds
Loud Music blasting in different directions
Marketing folks pretty much trying to justify their existence by spending buckets of cash blah blah blah.... you guys heard this.

Guess what three things, E3 and TGS have loads of?

I hate E3 and swore never to go back, I hate TGS, willing to go to it, but mainly to see Japan again(would try to skip it).
So yeah you pretty much couldn't pay me to go to either.
