I'm interested in this but I'm concerned about the combat system.  From the videos I saw and what little I've read it sounds like it has a rock paper scissors based combat system.  It's not good for a single player game to have a combat system based highly on guessing.  Plus, maybe this is just me but I fail to see the reason for a turn based combat system in a game where you only control 1 character during combat.

Of course, these are just my initial impressions and may be incorrect.

I was at the panel when they announced this.  Very exciting.  Aksys seems to still have some faith in the PSP.  I mean, they also announced an otome VN for the PSP and that seems far more niche than this title.

I love news like this, while unfamiliar with these games the reason I bought a PSP in the first place was the fact that I could play more "obscure" RPG's, after all, eventually I will run out of PS2 games to play, and it seems PS3 games are leaning towards more hybrids and shooters.

If Atlus were considering localizing Growlanser IV I imagine the PSP market imploding doomed it anyway. You could always hope they're just saving it for after the game comes out, that seems to usually be what they do, Devil Survivor 2 was a bit earlier but that may've been to take advantage of E3 timing.

This, but I'm okay with rock paper scissors.
It just seems like it'd be boring as hell to use only one character in turn-based battles.
I saw comments from people that imported it that it hadn't quite lived up to expectations.

Wow, how SCEA have changed.

My stance on half of those games should go without saying, so I'll say that Fate piques my interest.

I still think there's MUCH better games they could have done though, like Dangan Ronpa or something.

Just like the shifting of the continents!

Half imagine these are PSN-exclusive by the way.

They said that they'll be UMD special editions.

EDIT: Wait, if Fate/Extra is made by ImageEpoch, what happened to their deal with NISA? It sounds like Marvelous Entertainment and Xseed again.

I'm a little iffy about the battle system, but everything else looks pretty good. It kinda reminds me of Persona 3/4.

Actually, people that played Fate/Extra said that it was like playing a Persona game. Just not as good.
