DS games don't look as good on the 3DS though. We don't know if Theatrhythm is going to be bad in itself, so I'm just staying positive. I have skipped plenty of games for 3DS already, trust me. I have never played the other music games Theatrhythm is being compared to, so the whole thing sounds original to me.

Touchscreen based? Ew. I think that just killed what little interest I had.

It's a rhythm game on 3DS; it HAD to be touchscreen controls. I don't have a 3DS and probably won't get one any time soon, but this game really does look like it could be fun. It really does seem like a lot of people here don't like rhythm games because this seems like a nice rhythm game with Final Fantasy themes.

Yeah, this isn't like Zelda or something where it goes against what you're used to completely and may not even be a goo idea, it's a rhythm game where that can make a lot of sense.

Square-Enix should focus on making good RPGs before they continue to pump out spinoffs

Elite Beat Agents.
More like Elite Beat Dissidia, but yes, this makes much more sense.

SE: Oh yeah, those Chrono or Threads of Fate (or insert any dropped SE product here) sequels would be total wastes of money, glad we spend all those funds and development teams developing facebook games and crap like this. Brilliant!

...creepy and uncanny. Seeing that game's design pretty much seems to drive home the point of that 1Up article about what's wrong with the J-market currently.
