The entire Suikoden line. If those bastards won't give us an ending at least remake the games or something.

Actually that highlights a problem I have with the idea of remakes sometimes: why does a game even need a remake? Some are deeply flawed and could use polishing or even complete reworking to excavate what's great about it, but some are really, really good as it is. At most you just polish up a few of the quirks and upgrade the graphics, and the latter may not even be a good idea in the first place since games like Suikoden II are fantastic examples of 2D graphics.

Uh. The game I mentioned in the last page is from Squaresoft, goddamn.
This is the real my answer; Lunar 2: Eternal Blue.

I dunno about the OP, but given how obscure the game is I think it follows the intent, if not the letter.

I'd like to see a remake of Treasure Hunter G so there could be an excuse to release it to America, as well as Sergeant Keroro RPG and Dungeons and Dam. SMT 1, 2, if..., NINE, and Persona 2: Eternal Punishment would be pretty awesome if they came here.

Here's a reason for a remake:
"So let me here your bad news. -Viktor
"...if I would please lend him your services. -Makai
"You're coming with us one way or another, Nanami... -Nanami
And my favorite:
"...I can spend time with my husband Yoshino." -Yoshino

Same position as FFVII then, except needing a full blown remake even less. A great game saddled with an embarrassing translation.

I could not agree more with your stance on re-releases/re-makes...... Give us something we haven't seen or at least in a way we haven't seen/ experienced it yet....

Both titles rock and would make awesome re-releases in my book..... though I am partial to lunar 2..... I am a lunar fanatic.......

I'd like to see Shin Megami Tensei
Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers
Al the time I hear how good this game is yet so few people have actually played it. Well, the fact that is was only released in Japan may be the answer but there's a translation patch floating around but I'd like to see it remade like Tactics Ogre was. Maintain the core stuff but make everything else better, including gameplay aspects that would make the game more enjoyable for today's audience.
If it were to come to an actual HD console it could even use the Catherine engine.

Ys IV and V with a localization dammit. They already remade 1-3, also I would love a localization of Origins too.

I'll second Soul Hackers. In fact, I'm inclined to think Atlus in Japan is probably considering that one for a port/remake, and then Atlus USA would def. localize it.

Wasn't there a port of the original Devil Summoner for PSP? Atlus never brought that over here.

They needed to update it a bit more to be localizable. I think there was a story about not meeting the content requirements here, but I don't doubt a straight emulation is much harder to put new text into than a proper remake (even if it's visually the same).
