Damn.  I didn't even realize he was THAT young!  RIP.  Hope he's having fun running around Parm in the great beyond.

He founded GameArts when he was 19?!?!

Crying shame. Was he involved with Lunar/Studio Alex?

Aw spit. :(

Gonna go play some Grandia in this guy's honor. Does this mean the series is now REALLY dead?

God, sad news combined with the feelings his products elicited in me when I was young... sad!  Grandia took my heart for a ride, when I was about the age he was, when he founded GameArts.

What am I doing with my life...

I'm really worried about early death now.  Seems like completely unknown causes lately.

While I never cared for either the Lunar or Grandia series beyond their combat systems, its depressing as hell to start hearing about video game creators passing away. Makes me feel old. :(

I thought Grandia 1 was amazing how it pulled off some phenomenal 3-d graphics from the Saturn, which was generally considered weaker at 3-d than the PSX. Yet even with downgraded graphics in the PSX version it was still one of the most visually attractive and impressive 3-d rpgs on the PSX, I thought.

I think Grandia's a mediocre series, but a sad loss, indeed.
