God, sad news combined with the feelings his products elicited in me when I was young... sad! Grandia took my heart for a ride, when I was about the age he was, when he founded GameArts.
What am I doing with my life...
I'm really worried about early death now. Seems like completely unknown causes lately.

While I never cared for either the Lunar or Grandia series beyond their combat systems, its depressing as hell to start hearing about video game creators passing away. Makes me feel old. :(

I thought Grandia 1 was amazing how it pulled off some phenomenal 3-d graphics from the Saturn, which was generally considered weaker at 3-d than the PSX. Yet even with downgraded graphics in the PSX version it was still one of the most visually attractive and impressive 3-d rpgs on the PSX, I thought.
