http://www.watch.impress.co.jp/game/docs/20060825/tot.htm

Sadly, this the only new Tales game we know of that isn't a port, remake, or a spin-off. Granted TotA has not come out here so that is new to us as well but I wish they would announce next-generation Tales already.

That said it looks alright, the battle system seems based on Tales of Rebirth's battle system. Looking forward to playing it.

I can't wait to get my hands on this game.  You know what would be really an amazing idea?  If they made a Tales game where you could connect with 3 other people for battles on Wifi and you could progress through the game together.  If anyone has played Diablo II online, I am thinking kind of like that in terms of progressing through the story.  I guess the main problem would be when random people are paired up and they fight for control of the main character when they're not in battles.  I'm sure there would be some solution to that.

I wonder how well it'd actually work for this though...

I'm interested. A good RPG is always welcome on the DS, even if it is a beat to death series, and it still has some of that 32-bit style that I'm strangely fond of.

I think the game looks decent.  I wonder how well it plays, though.

While I find it a tad different for a Tales game to have only three party members, I don't think it will be too big of a problem.
