Oh man, that is really going to tempt me into getting a 3DS.

No shit, I literally jumped out of my chair for joy and then fell back into it crestfallen when I saw it. Here's hoping that hes going to put it on the PS360.

I'm more concerned about whether or not it'll be an original title or a port, but then I'm apparently an aberration in this country when it comes to sequels or major games coming to handhelds.

Personally, I like that it's coming to handhelds. I don't own a TV anymore and don't see myself ever owning a console again. As it is, I'm lucky to play five hours of games a week.

Going by this consoles current tendency towards ports, Id say its a case of "RE-DS strikes again". Good for the younger crowd I suppose, and those that passed by these on their first run or no longer have the game but would love to play it again. For everyone else, its just another easy cash in.

NOW PLAYING:
Hearthstone: I don't like card games, and yet I enjoy this.
Chaos on Deponia: Beat the first one, went straight for the second one, that says a lot.
F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin: Seems ok, has mouse issues.

Considering that they are already re-releasing ZOE1&2 for PS360 I'd like to think that this will be a new game.

Actually, Id say that it makes it all the more likely to be a port.

Well, we ARE getting MGS3 in the HD collection yet there's still the 3DS game. That can just be a victim of being the target of the 3DS hype and having an impressive trailer despite being redundant in the big picture.
