I'm more concerned about whether or not it'll be an original title or a port, but then I'm apparently an aberration in this country when it comes to sequels or major games coming to handhelds.

Personally, I like that it's coming to handhelds. I don't own a TV anymore and don't see myself ever owning a console again. As it is, I'm lucky to play five hours of games a week.

Going by this consoles current tendency towards ports, Id say its a case of "RE-DS strikes again". Good for the younger crowd I suppose, and those that passed by these on their first run or no longer have the game but would love to play it again. For everyone else, its just another easy cash in.

Well, we ARE getting MGS3 in the HD collection yet there's still the 3DS game. That can just be a victim of being the target of the 3DS hype and having an impressive trailer despite being redundant in the big picture.
