Here and There
January 31st, 2003

I was here and now I'm there at school. Whoo-hoo. =P

I won't bother ranting about randomness today since I have a slight flu... It's hard to be happy with such an evil sickness.

So, for today's update, we've got 11 Final Fantasy fan art and 1 lone DragonForce fan art (the very first I've seen around this section, too). On my little handy dandy notebook, I've calculated that nearly half (okay, more than half) of the total submissions of fan art were Final Fantasy related. Well, now I know what the majority of fanartists like. But, I guess that's to be expected considering that Final Fantasy is indeed quite a popular series. However, I wonder if there are any fans of other RPGs? No. Resident Evil and Tetris do not count. =P Maybe some Persona? Or, *cough* Castle- *cough* -vania... SOTN??? *cough, cough... hack!*

*ahem*

Anyway, my mind isn't working today, so I'll quit while my eyes are still in focus. I hope everyone will enjoy these 12 latest fan art below. Hopefully, I wouldn't feel so ill in the next update (I think the cold weather around this place is the cause). I'll be getting the most recent fan arts posted within the next two updates, so don't fret. They're coming. ;P

Sephiroth at Nibelhelm
Artist: Caroline Green
Homepage: None.
Game/Inspiration: Final Fantasy VII
Comments: This is the first time I've really tried to ink anything properly so the lines came out a bit blotchy (although it might partly be that the pen wasn't any good too.) Anyway, I used photoshop, painter and a graphire tablet for the rest of this picture.
Happy Edea in Calm State
Artist: Melanie
Homepage: None.
Game/Inspiration: Final Fantasy VIII

The First Queen of the Elves
Artist: Alayna

Game/Inspiration: DragonForce
Comments: It's Farla from Dragon Force for Sega Saturn. That was one great game =D Anyway, you meet Farla when you play as Teiris. I thought her outfit was cool so I drew her to make her look a little bit younger and with frizzy hair. You only see her once in the very beginning with one picture and then at the very end. That made it kind of hard to draw her since I only had one resource, but I made up some things as I went along and I think it turned out okay =D
Garnet
Artist: Sandy Lohi
Homepage: None.
Game/Inspiration: Final Fantasy IX
Comments: This drawing is done with pencil, and color was added with Adobe Photoshop.
Selphie Tilmitt
Artist: Kim Tram
Homepage: None.
Game/Inspiration: Final Fantasy VIII
Comments: I like the way her face turned out but the rest, looks sloppy. I think I made her look a little older than she's suppose to be. I've always thought of her as a cute, out-going girl instead of a gorgeous chick. That's on of the reasons why I like her.
Tidus and Rikku
Artist: Kim Tram
Homepage: None.
Game/Inspiration: Final Fantasy X
Comments: I love this couple! Too bad they are not together.
Paine
Artist: Devilsfromabove and Goddessofsouls
Homepage: None.
Game/Inspiration: Final Fantasy X-2
Comments: This images was drawn by my sister (Devilsfromabove) and I, Goddessofsouls. Was drawn on oekaki.

Tidus and Rikku
Artist: Kim Tram

Game/Inspiration: Final Fantasy X
Comments: My two favorite FFX characters and couple. Too bad they aren't together.
Yuna and Tidus
Artist: Tuire

Game/Inspiration: Final Fantasy X

Yuffie with Leviathan
Artist: Caroline Green
Homepage: None.
Game/Inspiration: Final Fantasy VII
Comments: I drew the lines on this one with the pen tool in paintshop pro but I think taking that approach leaves the lineart without any character (so I've got to learn how to ink properly ^_^;). The rest of this picture was done with Photoshop painter and a graphire tablet.
