March 25th, 2003

Hm. An update THIS early? There must be a conspiracy! Run for the hills!!!

Actually, if you had read carefully in the last update, I had mentioned that I'd try out bi-weekly update times. That means 2 fan art update in one week! Lately, I've been getting quite a handful of fan art. So, I figured it would be good to have more updates to post them all up in time. No more waiting a whole entire month for your fan art to be posted! (At least, that's what I'm hoping for. No guarantees, ya hear? =P)

There's not much to say today except that I seem to be getting a lot of Final Fantasy X-2 fan art lately. Maybe it's because of its release over in Japan just last week, eh? (Probably. =P) Hopefully no one sends me spoilers of this game (especially when I haven't even played the game yet). There hasn't been anything too spoilerific thus far, so I'm peachy-good! Anyway, let's hope that by November, when FFX-2 debuts in the US, it'll live up to our expectations of the game. So far, I've heard it's a bit... fan-girlish and just... girlish. *shivers* Oh well. I'll just have to play it to believe it. =P

In other fan art news, you'll see 10 fan art submissions below for your viewing pleasure. You might also notice that 9.5 of them are Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts related. (Doesn't anyone know that there's other role-playing games to play? ;P) Oh, what's the other 0.5, you might ask? One of them is part Suikoden! Yay! Thank you to the dear soul who made it possible for this update to be not fully Final Fantasized/Kingdom Heartized! Thank you from the bottom of my Suikoden-loving heart. =)

Well... That's about it! Send me fan art, read the FAQs for submission guidelines, speak in squirrel language for the next hour or so, and I'll be seeing you on the next update! (Which will hopefully contain less... Final Fantasy. ;P) If any March submissions haven't been posted up yet, don't worry. They're coming. =)

Soul Eater Keyblade
Artist: Kupo Nut 514
Homepage: None.
Game/Inspiration: Suikoden; Kingdom Hearts
Comments: This is an idea that came up in my head all of a sudden. I really like the idea of a Suikoden-themed keyblade. It's also the first picture I've ever completed on the Photoshop program. I'm pretty satisfied with how it turned out.
Black Mage Rikku
Artist: Kim Tram
Homepage: None.
Game/Inspiration: Final Fantasy X-2
Comments: I thought that I might do a fanart on Rikku in one of her outfits in X-2. I picked this one because it's different from all of the outfits in the FF series. This one looks more of a clown-style battle outfit. That explains the weird background.
Tidus and Wakka
Artist: Candace Brown
Homepage: None.
Game/Inspiration: Kingdom Hearts
Comments: I like the way Tidus and wakka looked from this game they looked cute.
