Trick or Treat
April 4th, 2003

Happy Halloween..! Uh, what? I'm too early?

Well, maybe I've got the wrong holiday, but I still think today's update is a very special treat for viewers and fanartists. After much hard work and effort, I now present to you new sub-sections of Fan Art! If you look down below, you'll notice a new menu called "Game Archives". Now it is possible to check up fan art by 'game' rather than by updates! For instance... Do want to see all the Final Fantasy X artwork we have? Or how about checking our only Earthbound archive? Well, there you go! There's more games to check out, of course. These archives are updated every two weeks or so depending on my awesome time management skills! Boo-Ya! (...) Uh... Alrighty. Moving along now...

Another little addition to the section is the "Inspiration Box" which is listed to the right above my avatar there. Clicking that will open up a separate page with various topics for fanartists to choose from in case they've run out of ideas or just wish to face some challenges. You'll notice 3 topics already listed, too. If anyone can draw these, you'll help not only my hunger for non-Final Fantasy artwork, but also help fill up some of those empty spaces and add more game listings in the new Game Archives. (I really want to see a Castlevania: SOTN archive, you know? ;P) The Inspiration Box will be updated every month or so, depending on if any of them get fulfilled. Please note that these are only 'recommendations'. I do not expect anyone to draw them, but it would be nice to see if anyone can try them out.

Whoa. I should hold my tongue till the next update before this gets too long again! See you all then, and please enjoy today's fan art submissions: 12 pieces from regular artists and newcomers as well! There's still quite a bunch of fan art I still need to post, so I'm still sorting through submissions. Also, sorry for not updating in time. Busy, busy month (with April Fool's day, mid-terms and all). I'll be sure to update more frequently as planned... but, like I said, no guarantees until summer. ;P Well then, ciao for now!

(NOTE: There is no April Fools' trick or joke in this Fan Art update and never will there be! Darn. =P)

Yun's Destiny
Artist: JOS
Homepage
Game/Inspiration: Suikoden III
Comments: Suikoden 3 is my favorite RPG so far. The story, the characters, the minigames and the superb intro by GONZO had me playing for more than 70 hrs and some friends of mine have already reached the 100. Love Chris' grasslander outfit (this can be considered a Spoiler).
Rikku
Artist: Candace Brown
Homepage: None.
Game/Inspiration: Final Fantasy X-2
Comments: This picture was little to big for my scaner but I like it still ..
Riku & Paopu Fruit
Artist: Kayun Li
Homepage
Game/Inspiration: Kingdom Hearts
Comments: Riku as a child.
Chibi Percy
Artist: Jessica Westover

Game/Inspiration: Suikoden III
Comments: None.
Reisz of Rolante
Artist: Becky
Homepage
Game/Inspiration: Seiken Densetsu III
Comments: This is a pretty large piece- at 32x45, it slowed my computer down quite a bit. This is Reisz posing in a room in Rolante castle. For reference, I had my TV turned on for quite awhile in one room in Rolante castle. It was a rather fun piece to do! For this, I used graphite and Painter.
[Untitled]
Artist: Alayna
Homepage: None.
Game/Inspiration: Suikoden III
Comments: I know it's been a while but I do have one more RPG fanart. This one is from all three Suikoden games. There really isn't a title. But I used colored pencils and ink.
Leo
Artist: Xelloss
Homepage: None.
Game/Inspiration: Lunar II: Eternal Blue
Comments: Fan art of Leo from Lunar II done with photo realism by Xelloss.
Yuna and Tidus
Artist: Tuire
Homepage: None.
Game/Inspiration: Final Fantasy X
Comments: Pencil work. Would be cool if Tidus and Yuna could be able to go to some fancy party. Thats the idea in this they kinda ready to go to fancy party.
Squall Sketch
Artist: Tuire
Homepage: None.
Game/Inspiration: Final Fantasy VIII
Comments: I think its best head sketch i ever done. Could look more better though, but no ones perfect.
Gibbel Sketch
Artist: Tuire
Homepage: None.
Game/Inspiration: Final Fantasy X-2
Comments: Here some little sketch from a game worth to wait for i think.
Reno
Artist: Nesetra
Homepage: None.
Game/Inspiration: Final Fantasy VII
Comments: I couldn't help but notice that there weren't very many pics of Reno from FFVII in the Fanart section (read: NONE) so I decided to draw a pic of him to show off my artistic prowess to the world (and plus Reno is adorable)! I only used Microsoft Paint for this, so all in all this is a pretty poor-quality picture, but it came out very nicely.
Yuna from FFX-2
Artist: Candace Brown
Homepage: None.
Game/Inspiration: Final Fantasy X-2
Comments: I love this pic it's so cool
