Summer's Calling
June 21st, 2003

It's been a strangely busy summer so far. Despite having more time to do things, I find myself busy with things that just pop up one after the other. (Thankfully, it has nothing to do with school this time... unless you count summer school.) I guess that's just the way things go for me.

Now one thing I haven't done since the start of summer was watch some of those movies that came out. Being a Marvel fan, I was 'supposed' to watch "X-Men 2", but I never got around to it. Despite being a sci-fi nutcase, I also missed "Matrix Reloaded". "The Italian Job" and "2 Fast 2 Furious"? Nah. Not even those. Heck, don't be surprised if I even miss "The Hulk" (which just came out June 20th). I heard it wasn't much of good movie, anyway (Thanks for the tip, Francis ;P). Let's hope that I get to see "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" coming around July 11th at least. Speaking of LXG, I've heard that much of the original story was edited (they even added Tom Sawyer? And, he's a spy???). From previews and commercials I've seen, it looks all right, but I'm not going to judge it just yet; otherwise, I'll end up not watching it... like the rest of the movies. (... although, in most cases, I'm just too lazy to watch movies at a theater. =P)

Whoa. But who cares about movies, right? (Obviously I do right now, but I've got to get my job done here first. =P) Today I've got some color and pizzazz for you: 12 submissions straight from the backlogs! It's almost done, so eventually I'll get to the newer submissions. And, speaking of submissions... there have been quite a few that hasn't been following the rules as of late. So, if there were any sent to me around April and the first week of May that haven't been posted yet, please read the FAQs. I won't bother listing them all here. It's on a different page for a reason, you know. =P

Anyway, that's all folks! Keep on sending fan art and eventually I'll post it up... granted that I don't decide to watch movies all summer long.

Rydia Upgrade
Artist: Diego
Homepage: None.
Game/Inspiration: Final Fantasy IV
Comments: Throughout my life there are very few things in this world that have really captured my attention. Final Fantasy 4 for the Super Nintendo is one of the most influential games I have ever played. I have done some other drawings of Final Fantasy characters in the past. Now suddenly, I got the urge to do draw them again and I'm very satisfied with the outcome of Rydia. This is the grown up version of her. The updated version of her outfit is a little different from the traditional softer cloth. I wanted to give Rydia warrior feel to her while keeping the essential things that a Final Fantasy summoner wears. The suit has a heavier feel to it but with the appealing and attractive look that Edge was so fond of.

Game/Inspiration: Chrono Cross
Comments: Everyone seems to focus on Harle and the super cutesy things in Chrono Cross... So I drew someone else!
