Manual Labor May 24, 2003
Whew. It may look like I had a two-week vacation between updates, but let me assure you that I have been working harder than ever. I have been going through the FanFics archive manually updating each fic to conform to the new layout design that we have at RPGFan. In addition, I have been weeding out a few that I did not feel met our standards. For those curious, I created a progress log to keep track of my work. If you want to know what is happening behind the scenes, this is a good place to look.
With E3 now behind us, RPGFan Editors are now returning to their work here on the site. While I had originally planned to make the crusade to this gaming Mecca with my fellow editors, circumstances prevented me from going at the last minute. Instead, I remained behind and held the fort while the rest partied in Los Angeles. But in addition to their fun, they also did an excellent job of providing coverage for the massive event. It is great to have them back, however.
In any case, we have the latest chapters in the two series that will be featured by themselves until I have time to start reading new fics. The newest releases of Final Fantasy VIII fic, "Castles in the Sky" and Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete fic "If Love Were Only Part of the Equation" are wonderful reads, and I highly recommend using them to hold you over until the next update. Both authors are extremely talented and I am proud to have their episodically released work here on RPGFan.
I promise that I am almost done fixing the current pages and that I will be able to start going through the new fics pretty soon. Until then, keep sending in your work and enjoy the newest contributions. Until next time!
