Please. Please. Please turn off Smart Quotes in Word. Please. Turn of Smart Anything Word does. It makes me a much happier human being and editor at the end of the day. The procedure to do so in any version of Word whatsoever is, from the menu, Tools > Auto Correct > Autoformat as You Type > "Straight Quotes with Smart Quotes". Decheck the box beside "Straight Quotes with Smart Quotes" and you will be my hero. That aside, this month sees the completion of "New Era of Darkness" by Daniel Wood. Seeing as I mucked up on my promise of updating on New Years, and that I'm overdue two months (thank my college schedule), I've posted all the remaining chapters at once. It's really, really well-written, so definitely give it a read. I've also posted "From Rivals to Lovers" by Danielle Atwell which takes place in the Pokémon Leaf Green/Fire Red universe. I really know very little about Pokémon anymore (I think I quit playing the games after Red and Blue), so this was an educational read. I'm not a huge fan of romance fics, largely 'cause so many are badly written, but this was a fun romp, so I decided to put it up. I'll be tackling a couple of monsters for next update. There's a fat ol' 360-something page Chrono Trigger fanfic sitting in my mailbox that I've been glaring at for a good while now. It's not that I don't want to do it, but the mere mention of having to edit 360 pages of ANYTHING makes me cry. It shall be done however, sometime in the future. Of course, not all at once. I'll probably have a few chapters ready come next update. Keep sending in those fics tho'. I'm always happy to look at your work.
