Music of the Year 2012

Music of the Year 2012
Introduction
December 2, 2012 – Here at RPGFan, we're excited to present to you the very first Music of the Year feature! For a long time, we've been bringing you our traditional Game of the Year awards, and we decided that we were long past due for a music-centric version! Since music itself is such a subjective experience, we've opted against giving site-wide awards, and instead bring you the individual picks of four of our editors!

Each list includes our top five albums, be they original soundtracks or arrangement albums, as well as some samples of our favorite tracks from each. In couple of weeks, we'll also have a special episode of our podcast, Random Encounter, to celebrate the end of a wonderful year for music.

So, read (and listen!) onward, and then take to the forums and discuss! What were your top picks for the year? We'd love to hear from you! Here's to a great year for music!
