Platonic Form for a WRPG? Baldur's Gate II. For an action RPG? Torchlight. For a new school JRPG? Persona 4. For an old school JRPG? Dragon Quest VIII. What do I mean by Platonic Form? Games so close to perfecting what they are attempting that it makes the player question what else could possibly be done to make it better. It seems unfair to even rank them, since all of these games in this list do exactly that in one way or another, but since I had no choice, I went with personal preference.
