Traditional RPG of the Year: Console - Dragon Age: Origins
Hey look, Dragon Age: Origins won this award too! Are you surprised? You really shouldn't be. As far as big-budget, large-scale traditional RPGs went this year, there wasn't a lot of great stuff from which to choose. The PS2 went out with a bang (Devil Summoner 2 and Ar tonelico II), and there were some great tradtional RPGs on handheld platforms. But if you want to satisfy your need for a console-based RPG experience par excellence, BioWare's latest is the best, and really the only, choice for 2009.
